構造地質(zhì)與地球物理學(xué)
主要研究地球演化在地殼和巖石圈尺度的結構及變形。發(fā)展使用多參數聯(lián)合反演算法來(lái)解決地球物理的多解性問(wèn)題（聯(lián)合反演速度結構，密度結構等），同時(shí)特別注重多參數的聯(lián)合解釋以及與實(shí)際地質(zhì)問(wèn)題的結合。在古地幔柱的地球物理響應，青藏高原東北緣變形機制，巖石圈流變性等方面有一系列創(chuàng )新型成果。共發(fā)表SCI論文30余篇，其中第一作者或通訊作者SCI論文十余篇(包括Earth-Science Reviews , Earth and Planetary Science Letters, Geophysical Research Letter, Tectonics, Lithos, Geophysical Journal International, Tectonophysics等)，引用700余次。
